I'm a Global Express avionics installer specialist & mechanic
I am proud to represent my country by building what I believe to be the "best private jet in the world".

I personaly think that it is a shame to have condemned the Arrow before birth.

My dream would be to participate in a project to resurrect the Arrow using today's materials and technology.

As a Canadian I'm willing to put in my time, my knowledge and my "big" toolbox
to the cause. Let's show the world what our country can do.

Enjoyed the movie about the Avro Arrow and msot recently Perter Mansbridge interview with claude Sherwood and the work they are doing on "Replica Arrow". In my opinion its desighn alone is far superior to the RCAF CF18. It is to bad that Prime-minister Diefenbaker had to have the Arrow destroyed. I am sure if built today it would be one of the leading fighter's in the world.Keep up the good work.

Reply to "not sure whether it is an MK1 or MK2" in one of the photos. It is an MK1 as the MK2 was never flown and the number says 202 which means that it was the second one to fly.

As a former electrical engineer who worked at Computing Devices of Canada in the early 1960s, and who designed guidance systems for military aircraft, and as one who cares very much about what happened to the Arrow,I was very pleased to see the CBC TV interview yesterday and again this morning.

It gave me great pleasure to be one of many who drove in a few rivets into the replica during your open house a couple of years back.

My novel, THE AVRO ARROW MANIPULATION: MURDERING MEDICARE, will be available in bookstores within a few weeks. It offers a fictional account of what may have really been behind the downfall of the Arrow. June Callwood, who as many of the readers of this site may know, was a reporter who had written a lot about the Arrow, described my novel's "premise (as) wildly imaginative but disturbingly plausable. The story of the Arrow's demise is an enigma within an enigma, and Will's theory is as good as any I've heard."

As someone who has now worked in healthcare in Canada as a psychologist for over 25 years, I have hypothesized and laid out a scenario describing similar shenanigans having been carried out in regard to our Canadian universal healthcare system, and by even some of the same people who brought about the downfall of the Arrow.

I look forward to the rollout of the replica... May I suggest that Remembrance day, November 11th, might be a most appropriate occasion for this to happen. The Arrow was surely one of Canada's fallen best.

On Sun. Mar. 27th with Peter Mansbridge you mentioned that anyone who had worked for Avro during the time period of the Avro were invited to attend a roll-out ceremony for the Arrow Replica.

Is it still current or has this event already happened?

Any information you can give me would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Lorraine Hilliard

This is a piece of Canadian history that must be perserved and celebrated. I feel so passionatly about this I have even composed a song about the Avro Arrow based on Maddona`s "La Isla Bonita".
