clyde holmes tualatin, OR | I have a picture of my great uncle (hamden h. holmes) seated in a curtiss model d. Which has been seen by curator Ben Kristy at Evergreen Aviation Museum in Mcminnville OR. Ben suggested that it is a curtiss pusher w/head and some modifacation. The motor is a six cylinder and thr tail is a split tail. Note on back side says Los Angeles Calif Jan 12 1912. You needent think this is any plow just because I am sitting out here allong the plowd ground and about ten miles from town. I had to light here on this little strip on account of engin trouble. A couple of fellows out auto riding saw me & came to see if I needed anything,so got a picture as I were to start, will try & send a better one next time.
