Hi I'm an italian aerospace engineering student. I'm working on my BA thesis and I wish to know if there's any chance to find some details of the internal structure of the wings (as the number of ribs and the dimensions of the spars.
thanks in advance

Dario

Hey Devin,
I am Leon Sewell's grandson. You might of knew this already but Leon passed in 1997. And his wife "my grandma" Virginia still has the pictures on her wall of Chuck standing next to the jet along with his signature. It's pretty neat to look at those and think what it must of been like to fly that jet.

Do you know if your dad also worked in the Contracts Dept for a man named John Lentini. We were trying to recall. I also don't know where he wound up after a few years. Did he go back to Eng'g.?

Chuck was a good friend and dive buddy. I was present at the first flight of the X-29 in 1984 at Edwards AFB. I have some mementos Chuck carried in the cockpit on that flight and some memorable photos from that day. Chuck's loss was a most difficult one. I will always remember his wit and humor. He was a great dive buddy.

I was the Flight Control System Engineer for this wonderful aircraft. I worked with some of the best engineers and test pilots in the business, and was proud to be part of it.

Just found the site, and it is nice to see good memories about some great jets.
My father Arthur Frank was a mechanical designer for Grumman and worked on this plane, the F-14, and others I don't know about. He always loved these jets and when I worked summers as a kid at Bethpage, I did get out to see both jets out in Calverton. They are beautiful planes.
