Sam McGowan Missouri City, TX | My experience with the B-model was as a loadmaster with the 29th Tactical Airlift Squadron - F Troop - out of Clark Field, Philippines from February 1969-September 1971. The B-model is my favorite of all of the Herks. It was as reliable as the E model and had better performance. Nearly all of my flying was in South Vietnam and since I was on a Commando Vault bomb crew, we were always going into short, forward fields when we weren't bombing. That year and a half flying Bs were the best of the 12 years I spent in the Air Force. 06/24/2007 @ 18:47 [ref: 16929] |
Bob , PA | Gross and Max weight specs. seem backwards - I compared these to the numbers for the C-130H, which make more sense. 06/23/2004 @ 17:51 [ref: 7674] |
