The LC130H models are flown by the NYANG 109th AW based at Glenville NY. These plane are flown from Oct - Feb at McMurdo Station , Antartica, and from Mar - Aug in Greenland. We are the only unit in the world to operate this A/C. As of Dec 01 we will be taking over the R models from the Navy. The 109th took over Operation Deep Freeze from the US Navy in 1998 after a five year transition period. This group has operated in Greenland since 1973 and Antartica since 1989. I have pics for people interested.
