I got the most realistic converted model of Amelia's L-10 from WWW.flightsim.com (search file: l10eae01.zip) and I am replicating her trip using msFS2004. I have sort of A blog I post to every flight at Darren's Dungeon - Free No registration required to follow or join me.

I fly on a public server as MAX5 if you want to join me!

I am a huge electra fan and reading about such an amazing plane gives me chills. I disgn aircraft and I'm working on a super l-10 for high altitude and long range flights. Sadly the closest i can find to an electra is the AT-11 kansan in the museum i work at. Does anyone know where i can get an up close look at an l-10?

As a 13 year older, I taxied in the L10 at the Charleston Municipal Airport. The craft was part of the early Delta Airline fleet. The date was 1941. I can find no mention that Delta used the L10. Can anyone verify that Delta used the L10? Thanks.

The first time I ever saw L10Electric was as a kid back in New England. The local CAP had one L10, one C47, one piper scout, and one cessna. In my eyes the L10 was the grand lady of her day.

I have been up in a Lockheed L.10A - Registration CF-TCC on several occasions, and it rides very nicely. This particular one is owned by Air Canada and is based in the Winnipeg Museum. Nice plane - go see it, and get a ride in it if possible.

I am finishing the finer details of "Amelia's Voice" a bona fide fiction book (no helter/skelter ideas in it) about AE, the Women's Air Race of '29 and it includes her last flight. I've tried in vain to climb inside the cockpit of one. Is there any static display you know of that I can see the cockpit? Send email or see site at www.johnwariner.com and down load first chapter.
