The T-45B was originally called the "Dry Hawk". It was planned to be the shore based version of the T-45A & C which were called "Wet Hawks".
The T-45B was essentially a BAe Hawk. It was scheduled to be used to train US Navy/Marine Corps Naval Flight Officers (NFOs) and some day by the USAF. 03/28/2008 @ 09:10 [ref: 20268]
