the Me-262A-1b is the Jabo configuration reflection that
the aircraft is a close air support Attack Fighter.
The primary difference is the installation of 24 each
55mm Rockets, 12 under each wing.
Each FFAR (Folding Fine Atk Rkt)has a an HE Explosive Warhead used in attacking gound installations.
Me-262A-1b (Jabo) is not considered a Fighter in the general sense...it is not for attacking other aircraft
but, to attack the enemy on the ground.

In "The Aircraft of the National Air & Space Museum", third edition, Walter Boyne describes the museum Me262 as Me-262A-1a, not 1b.
