I have an old photograph postcard stating that it is the N. C. #1. It is a photograph of a seaplane in the water and it appears to be sinking but I am not sure. The photo has written in white ink on the front N. C. #1. There are 2 boats in the photograph also. One boat looks like a canoe with 4 men in it . The other boat is a larger vessel. I believe this picture is from about 1915-1920. All I know is that the man who owned it was in WW1 and in the navy. I obtained it when I bought a lot of old postcards from an older woman. She told me that the cards belonged to her uncle who was in the navy and in WW 1. There is nothing written on the back of the card. I'm very interested to know if this photograph could be actually when the NC1 sank or it is just possibly in training. Could I send you an image of it and have it looked at by someone more familar with aviation history. Thank-you
