I have a piece of one of the pistons from the NC-4. I have no doubts of its authencity. It was given to me about 50 years ago by a friend of my father, Fred C. Copp. Fred was around 70 at that time and wrote on an identification tag placed on the section of piston. He wrote that it was given to him by W.E. White a secret service agent friend of his. I would like to sell it.

Gentlemen: I have been frustrated trying to get through your endless loop telephone system to talk to your Curator about family artifacts related to the NC-4.
My father, Clarence I. Kesler #1023792, A.C.M.M., USN was a crew member on the NC-1,later becoming Naval Aviation Pilot Number 21. He was present at the 50th Anniversary Celebration on the Mall in Washington in 1969. As a result of his participation in the Great Flight, we have several items that could possibly put some more meat on the bones of a diplay concerning the flight.
If you are interested, I would appreciate your contacting me with information about by-passing your very Non-User-Friendly telephone system. My Telephone: (703) 971-6941
