Luke AFB was my first duty station upon entering the USAF and the F-100 was the first fighter jet that I worked and trained on. This was in October/November of 1970. I was a 46250 weapons/munitions tech. In 1971, I was sent to the 366th TFW, DaNang S. Vietnam, as a flightline load crew member for the F4,c,d, e model of the Phantom fighter jet. We were known as, "The Gunfighters." I have very fond memories of Luke AFB and the first fighter that I worked on, the F-100 which we called the, "Lead Sled" because it was heavy for a fighter and took-up almost all the runway on take-off. If any if you former wingnuts remember me, email me at stingerac119@yahoo.com. I would enjoy hearing from you. God bless. William "Willie" Flores
