My father, Edward Roy Stevens, was the (one) helicopter pilot at Waller AFB, Trinidad BWI. Flew air-sea rescue in the H-5G from Dec. 16, 1948 to Oct. 1949. Landed on an Admiral on U.S. Navy ship Feb. 1949.

My father was in the graduating class of AAC Helicopter pilots at Randolph Field Sub Base. "First Pilot" in Helicopter on 5 Aug 46, graduated 3 Oct 47.

Dad just passed away at 95 years old. We were very proud of him and his accomplishments (32 combat missions, pilot of B-17, 457th Bomb Group).

Thank you,

Ed Stevens, Jr.
