M Smith , FL | The Tyndall AFB Aero Club has a T-41A that is used for primary flight instruction. Originally fitted with the Continental 0-300 (145 HP) 6 cylinder engine it now has the Lycoming 0-320 installed. Nice trainer, I've instructed in it since 2004. It was still being used to train USAF flight students in the Initial Flight Training Program (IFT) in 2006. 11/03/2008 @ 09:21 [ref: 22972] |

Michael R. Little Omaha, NE | Some good info here, but unfortunately the aircraft listed for the Air Force History and Traditions Museum - 65-5107 - is actually on display at the Air Force Academy (which is slightly odd, since the primary type associated with the Academy is the C model). Does anyone have any updated information on whether there still is a T-41A at the History and Traditions Museum? 11/12/2005 @ 09:54 [ref: 11684] |
