The US Air Force Museum in Dayton, Ohio has a Bf-109G-10 on display. A writeup about this aircraft appears here: http://www.wpafb.af.mil/museum/air_power/ap14.htm
The museum's home page is http://www.wpafb.af.mil/museum/
The museum also has a Focke-Wulf 190.
This museum also has one of every significant US military aircraft that ever saw service. It is a wonderful place. 05/26/2005 @ 02:28 [ref: 10310]

I work at the SDASM and our wooden mock of the 109 has never been in BoB colors (I have worked on repainting projects of this 'aircraft' directly working on the painting itself). The machine is currently displayed in correct late 1944 markings for Erich Hartmann.
Seen from a distance, few people realize this is not an actual aircraft - the model-builder did a superb job.

The Me-109 on display is a replica built in Nunda,NY by George Lucas. It originally carried fighter ace Erich Hartmann's markings, but it has been partially repainted to look like a Battle of Britian aircraft,Hartmann flew on the Russian front. 02/21/2002 @ 16:10 [ref: 4372]
