David Hatcher Enterprise, AL | I am a "former" UH1 instructor pilot both on active and reserve duty and as a Department of the Army Civilian flight instructor here at the US Army Aviation Warfighting Center. I flew the UH1C and M with the 176th AHC and the UH1H with Company A 229th AHB, 3rd Brigade 1st Cav in Vietnam. I have over 8000 instructor pilot hours in the UH1 series accumulated mostly here at Rucker over 25 years. My son Stephen graduated Army flight school in Oct 2006 and now flies the UH1V for the air ambulance/crash rescue here at Ft Rucker, called "Flatiron". If you have questions about the Huey or would just like to chat "Huey" feel free to email me at dahat001@aol.com 11/27/2007 @ 06:50 [ref: 18685] |

Matt becker , FL | The UH-1 Huey is a great aircraft, I always loved it. Its shape, sound of the rotors in flight, whop-whop-whop.
it was my first aircraft that I knew and colud remember.
I do recommend that you should try to talk to veterans. You might learn something. Thank You 04/09/2007 @ 22:56 [ref: 16147] |
